Summer love...

Hanging out in undies behind closed doors with curtains and blinds drawn, waiting for the
Fremantle Doctor ...

Outside the grass is yellow, a bit like straw and crunchy under feet like sundried leaves.
The pavement is blistering hot.
During endless days of intense heat the odd cloud appears to bring relief from the glare.
Silver green leaves dot the native trees that survive with little to no water for months on end.
Weeds thrive, gardens don't.

endless days of play

I sold two paintings yesterday evening.  It feels nice to be rewarded and to feel appreciated... but I do find it exhausting dealing with the people who want to buy my work.  I'm far more comfortable being behind the scenes.
I find it a little difficult to talk about my paintings for any length of time as they are personal and I guess I'm kind of private.... I know that's a contradiction, but I'm sure some of you know exactly what I mean.

Christmas is also happening in my corner.  Our home is decorated and filled with the excitement of a little boy waiting for Santa to arrive.  I'm disorganised this year, more so than any other and I don't exactly know why.  It will happen, but I fear it's going to be a bit of mad rush to the end.

Catch you soon
Merry Christmas
